A step-by-step walkthrough to create your BuildEm account, verify your identity, and start connecting with employers.
Click "Sign In" then "Register" (or use "Continue with Google"). Enter your email address and choose a secure password. You'll use this to sign in every time you visit BuildEm.
You can register as a Veteran, Military Dependent, student, or qualified civilian candidate.
Right after registering, we email you a one-time verification code. Enter that code on the verification screen to confirm your email address and activate your account.
Didn't get the code? Check your spam folder or tap "Resend code" on the verification screen.
Fill in your name, phone number, home address, career interests, and the locations where you want to work. A complete profile is required before you can view and connect with job postings.
The more detail you add — skills, certifications, experience — the better your matches will be.
Veterans are verified through the VA or a BuildEm admin. Military Dependents, students, and civilian candidates are reviewed and approved by our team. Once verified, you unlock full access to opportunities.
You'll see a "Pending Verification" state on postings until your account is approved. This usually takes a short time.
Browse the Discover page to see opportunities matched to your profile. When you find a role you like, hit "Connect" to introduce yourself to the employer — no resume blast, just a direct conversation.
Save interesting roles to your Build List, and track every conversation in your Connections page.
